Q: What's the difference between an Easy-Start website and a Custom Website?

A: The Easy-Start website is meant to be a simple, inexpensive way to get started with a website. By using your finished text for the pages, and by limiting the number of pages and photos used on the site, we can keep the prices low and provide a fixed price so you know exactly how much you will be spending on your website.

The Custom Website offers options beyond the Easy-Start site. For example, we can provide some or all of the text for your pages, we can include as many photos as needed, we can provide online ordering options – etc.

The price for a custom site varies depending on the complexity and bandwidth required. The annual hosting fee also varies based on these factors.

Q: If I start with an Easy-Start website, can I add pages later? How do you charge for the add-on pages?

A: Yes! Here’s how it works. If you start with a 3-page Easy-Start website, you can add two more pages for the Easy-Start price of $40.00 per page.

If you have an Easy-Start site and need more than 5 pages, we can probably accommodate those at the Easy-Start price as long as you keep the number of pictures to two per page and no custom work is needed.

Please note – the first year of hosting is built into the Easy-Start price and is based on a maximum of 5 web pages and 10 photos (allowing 2 per page). Increasing the number of Easy-Start pages (beyond 5) or photos (more than 10) could affect your annual hosting fee.

Q: Can I update my web pages myself?

A: Not yet, but that capability is coming soon. We are working on making user-updatable pages for Testimonials, Products, FAQs and Photo Galleries . When that is available, existing websites will be retro-fitted to use the new updatable pages.

If you would like to be notified when we add new features, check the 'Notify Me When Updates are Available' box on the 'Contact Us' form (or contact us by phone or email).

Q: Can I use an Easy-Start website to sell a small number of products?

A: Yes. Shopping Carts and online order processing are not available with the Easy-Start website, but we can provide an online order form your customer can use to order your products.

You can either contact them to get credit card information over the phone, OR the payment can be handled through PayPal. PayPal allows your customer to pay into your PayPal account using his/her PayPal account or a credit card.

Q: Is e-commerce available with a custom site?

A: Not at this time but definitely in the plan! If you would like to be notified when we add new features, check the 'Notify Me When Updates are Available' box on the 'Contact Us' form (or contact us by phone or email).

Q: Can I host my Easy-Start website with another hosting service?

A: Yes. However, the first year of hosting is built into the price of an Easy-Start website and is not refundable. You will be billed annually for hosting – at that time it is your option to decide whether to continue hosting with us or to move your website to another hosting service.
