About NovaTech Marketing

NovaTech Marketing provides Internet Marketing services to small-business owners – including website design/development, web copy-writing, search engine optimization (SEO), contact management and social networking.

Our mission is to help the small-business owner succeed by making his/her website the effective, affordable marketing tool it should be, and by providing related services to help build a complete internet presence for the business.

We're located in Winchester, Virginia and consider ourselves a local business, but we take pride in providing friendly, personal service to all of our clients - wherever they happen to be.

Cindy Steele

President/Internet Marketing Consultant

Cindy began her career in software design and development over 25 years ago after earning her B. S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee. She held project management and IT leadership roles at organizations across the Tennessee Valley, including Tennessee Valley Authority and Lockheed-Martin Marietta.

After moving to Northern Virginia in 1998, she shifted focus from applications development to website development, working as a web developer and software project manager in Washington D.C. and the Shenandoah Valley. In those roles, she was involved in the design, development and maintenance of interactive and e-commerce websites for corporate clients including Martha Stewart, Reba McIntyre, the American Diabetes Association and many more.

As President of NovaTech Marketing, Cindy guides the day-to-day operations of the company. She keeps things running smoothly by combining her software design and development skills with a Project Management approach to the company's development projects.

When not staring at the computer, Cindy enjoys camping, hiking, kayaking and growing organic vegetables in her garden.

Norman Steele

Web Developer/IT Consultant

As one of the first Computer Science graduates from Syracuse University, Norman has a long and successful history in the field. His career accomplishments cover many areas in computer science, including systems architecture, software and web development, and internet security.

Norman developed and sold the first graphical-based software testing tool on the planet and has always approached software projects with a focus on quality.

As a consultant in Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia, Norman has helped many companies resolve technically challenging software and security issues.

As the Chief Technical Officer for NovaTech Marketing, Norman maintains the security and technical standards for all of the software developed by the company.

In his spare time, Norman plays the guitar and follows the local bluegrass bands. He also enjoys camping and kayaking in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

James Lucas

Editor/Graphics Artist

James worked in news media for over 5 years, gaining experience in video and photo editing as well as copy writing.

After graduating from the University of Idaho with a degree in Digital Media Production, he began his career by working as an editor/photographer for KREM 2 TV in Spokane, Washington. In 2006, James moved to Charlottesville, Virginia where he worked as a photojournalist.

James covers many roles at NovaTech Marketing, including copy writing, photo editing, graphics design and internet research.

His many interests include freelance videography and international travel. Among his favorite projects are the videos he produced for the Arial Foundation, a non-profit organization that designs and builds quality housing in under-served areas of the world.
